Steve Jones

Steve Jones is an underwater photographer and journalist based in the UK with over 20 years of diving experience.

During the 1990's he worked as professional diving instructor (PADI, BSAC, NAUI) and dive guide teaching in conditions ranging from the tropics to freezing temperatures. He has certified over 500 divers at all levels and amassed over 3000 dives worldwide. Whilst working as a professional diver he acted as guide to some of the world's top underwater image makers and in 1996 his own images were first published in Germany's "Unterwasser" magazine.

He is now a freelance photojournalist and his work has since been published internationally in magazines such as Dive (UK), Scuba Diver Australasia, Tauchen (Germany), Duiken (Holland), X-Ray Magazine, Sub Aqva (Italy), Diver (UK), Scuba Diving (USA), Sport Diver (USA) and Octopus (Russia). He is a member of the British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSoUP) and in 2006 he won their coveted "Open Portfolio" award. He is passionate about the environment and a keen conservationist.
